One of the two great rivers that flow beneath the Lands Between. Ainsel is said to be the grave of civilisations that flourished before the Erdtree. The eastern side of Ainsel is dominated by the Uhl Palace Ruins, characterised by their mausoleums and statues, and inhabited by the Claymen who served as priests of the ancient dynasty.
